The lesser evil

Just trying to look on the bright side.

If Obama loses, it means an America hating, terrorist loving, neo-communist economic retard is kept out of the White House.

If McCain loses, it means a Constitution shredding, politically opportunistic, authoritarian economic retard is kept out of the White House.

Just Sayin.

Now THAT is a stretch!

But so true, sad to say.

Also sad... our political system, so distorted as it is, presents us with this choice for president.
This pair is the BEST the system could put forward....

Thats embarrassing

As 9th Circuit Court of Appeals Chief Justice Alex Kozinski once said, "I can't make both sides lose. I know, I've tried."

In my darker moments, I feel like a guy taking a micrometer to a pair of crap sandwiches just to make absolutely sure the one I ultimately bite contains the minimal amount of crap.

I know, lesser of two evils and all that, and I can accept it, but I haven't voted for a candidate since Reagan - twenty-five years of voting against people wears on you.

Will their come a point when Washington DC becomes so irrelevant and/or damaging that the United States just ignores them?

I once won a radio contest (for a very nice handmade pen) that asked this question: What is the most effective thing Congress could do for this country?

My Answer: Take a year off and go home.

There is a whole industry based around getting those selected elected. That is where we lost control of our government - it became their government and they want us to believe that all your neighbors were the ones that voted against you. I do like the stay home for a year, or points for never making headlines.
